Hello. I’m Gordon Pender. Welcome to my website. It sets out what I do, my achievements, all my clients, major assignments and my CV.
It includes a published article on risk and returns – an important element of the planning methodology I have developed – and a parody on offer documents that may amuse you.
As a business planner and investment analyst, with qualifications in Science and Business Administration, I prepare business plans and raise capital for small and medium-size enterprises.
I have raised more than $20 million in capital – both equity and debt – for 15 businesses, including start-ups.
I work with and for small and medium-size businesses, venture funds, banks and government departments. I have a network of business contacts and consultants covering many disciplines.
My areas of expertise include:
- Raising risk capital including equity, debt and government grants and loans
- Preparing comprehensive, professional Business Plans and Feasibility Studies
- Preparing ‘due diligence’ reports for fund managers on other people’s plans
- Financial modelling and general business management consulting assignments
I managed a portfolio of unlisted investments for Australian Ethical Investment Limited for a period, as contract investment manager, and have undertaken due diligence and investment appraisals for several other fund managers. My 21 years as an independent consultant is backed by 20 years’ prior practical experience in production, QA, marketing, finance and business management. I work with some clients over many years. More than half my work is now repeat business.
